Fundraising News
To keep tuition as low as possible, MCNS relies on fundraisers to cover basic expenses for the current year. When you buy school portraits or prepare for the Halloween Hoot, you are contributing directly to the school’s bottom line – not a “slush fund” or next year’s budget. The success of these programs is crucial to avoid a financial shortfall.
Participation in the primary fundraiser, usually the Halloween Hoot, and two secondary selling fundraisers is mandatory for all parents in the form of volunteering at these events. See Article V of the MCNS Bylaws. Families are encouraged to purchase items that they would like and/or sell items to friends and family if they are interested. Lastly, we have programs (such as social events, class photos, Amazon Smile and Scholastic books) that are not required, but your purchase does make some extra money for the school.
